Throughout the year, Most Holy Trinity Catholic School plans many fundraising activities. Funds raised from our efforts are used to supplement student tuition, operating costs and supplies.
Most Holy Trinity Car Raffle Date: October 7, 2017
In conjunction with Our Lady of the Valley School, each family is given 150 raffle tickets. Tickets are $2 each. Grand Prize is a new a car purchased from Casa Ford. Other prizes include a queen size mattress set from Popular Mattress, a television from a private donor, and milk for a year from Price’s Creameries. Last year Most Holy Trinity School received over $21,000. Ticket sale begins August 14, 2017
Halloween Carnival and Haunted House: Date: October 27, 2017
On or the weekend prior to Halloween, the school hosts a Halloween Carnival. Each class is assigned an activity and food booth to operate during the carnival. Parents of each class are asked to donate items for the booths and kitchen (hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, sodas, popcorn, corn, desserts, prizes, etc.) or money so the items for the booths may be purchased. Parents are also asked to volunteer time to help run the various booths. Ticket sales for booths and food begin the week before the carnival and may also be purchased at the door. Proceeds from the tickets sales go to the school’s fund. Over $4,000 was raised in 2016-2017.
Diocesan Raffle: Date: March 4, 2018
In conjunction with all El Paso Diocese Schools, each family is given $100 in raffle tickets. The price of each ticket is $1. Prizes include four VISA gift cards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. Families that do not sell all their tickets will have the balance added to their school account. Our school receives 83% of their ticket sales. The remainder goes to the Diocesan Scholarship Fund. In 2016-2017 we earned over $9,000.
Diocesan Speech Festival: Date: April 21, 2018
Most Holy Trinity hosts a speech festival for Kindergarten through 6th grade. We invite all El Paso area Catholic Schools to participate. Parents are asked to donate food items to be sold (hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, popcorn, com, desserts, prizes, etc.) or money so the items for the booths may be purchased. In exchange for volunteer hours, parents may volunteer time to help items at the snack table or the kitchen. Our school raised over $3,000 during the 2017 festival.
